Mobile Legends tier list (February 2023)

February 3, 2023: With a new character called Joy out now, check out our rankings below!

How’s the Mobile Legends tier list looking these days? In five years, Mobile Legends has amassed a character roster of over 100 unique brawlers for players to choose from. The selection ensures each 12-18 minute match is unique, but like any other competitive game, a meta eventually emerges, setting the stage for the tier list below.

Though any hero will get the job done in the right hands, meta picks and characters that tier well will generally have a higher average win rate regardless of who controls them. It’s not concrete and can shift with balance patches, but knowing rough placements can help win matches.

Tanks are bulky, durable brawlers who, after training up in the field, take their position at the front of the team, deciding if and when to engage the enemy. Once a fight breaks out, it’s their job to take the heat away from their more fragile friends, stunning, pushing, and slowing down enemies who try to slaughter the team. Here’s how each Mobile Legends tank fits on the tier list:

Mobile Legends fighter tier list – best side lane hero

The best Mobile Legends Fighters are a versatile bunch. With higher durability than junglers but slightly less damage potential, they sit somewhere between both the assassin and tank role, building up threat as the match goes on.

They possess mid-range mobility, damage, and crowd-control abilities, making them, by design, hybrid brawlers that can be built to handle most match situations. Here’s how each Mobile Legends fighter fits on the tier list:

Mobile Legends assassin tier list – b
est Jungle hero

Mobile Legends Assassins (or ‘Junglers’) are heroes that stay away from the lanes in the early game. Instead, they rely on specific equipment to help them clear monsters in the areas between lanes, racking up Gold and EXP without being bogged down by lane rivals.

After five minutes or so, they pounce on over-extending laners as they travel between jungle areas, bursting targets down before fading back into the shadows. Here’s how each Mobile Legends Assassin fits on the tier list:

Mobile Legends mage tier list – best mid hero

Mobile Legends mages typically sit on the mid lane, slinging spells against a single lane opponent. The outcome of these duels can quickly push a game in either team’s favour, creating a high risk, high reward dynamic that only the most accurate will win.

Late in the game, a bursty mage will make all the difference in dealing high area damage to the entire team, whittling them down for more mobile characters to finish off. Here’s how the current stack of Mobile Legends mages fit on tier list:

Mobile Legends marksman tier list – best ADC hero

A Mobile Legends Marksman works similarly to those found in other MOBA games. They’re the late-game carries designed to sit on a lane with a support hero backing them up. Their primary reliance on hard-hitting basic attacks means they’re able to fight for as long as they have the HP to do so.

All this power comes at a cost, though. Marksman characters are glass cannons. Push too hard and they risk feeding the enemy’s own. Here’s where each Mobile Legends Marksman sits on the tier list:

Mobile Legends support tier list – best support hero

In Mobile Legends, Support characters typically sit on the same lane as the marksman. They’re not all healers, but they do aid in the carry’s growth by either keeping them fighting fit or slowing, stunning, and otherwise controlling the enemy from afar.

The support works to make the carry’s progression a little easier, either helping them pick off targets or simply keeping them out of harm’s way. Once teams start to gather up, supports become primary targets, making it imperative that they stay behind the team’s tank. Here’s how the current Mobile Legends Support characters fit on the tier list:

Who is the newest Mobile Legends hero?

Joy, the newest Mobile Legends hero, arrived in November 2022.

If you want a quick shot at a win, you might as well attempt to use the newest Mobile Legends hero. It’s Mobile Legends tradition to assume the next character released will be the strongest. And while that’s typically true for most, they’re quickly dialled back by patches, hotfixes, and balance passes soon after launch.

So, if you’re simply looking to avoid all the tier list fluff and jump straight into battle with a character that could trump them all, Joy is the one to go for right now. It’ll take some time before other players learn how to counter him.

Who is the next Mobile Legends hero?

After Joy, the next new Mobile Legends hero hasn’t been properly revealed. As soon as a new one lands on the test server to take her place, we’ll know who will release next.

And that’s all there is to say about the Mobile Legends tier list for. For more mobile MOBA rankings, check out the Arena of Valor tier list, Pokémon Unite tier list, and League of Legends: Wild Rift tier list as well. They all do things ever so slightly different to Mobile Legends, making them still worth checking out. We even have a Pokémon Unite Full Fury tier list for the rapid-fire mode.
