TRIBUTES pour in after actress Annie Wersching passed away aged 45 after a battle with cancer.
Wersching is best known for her television roles as Renee Walker in 24 and Julia Brasher in Bosch.
Who was Annie Wersching?
Annie Wersching impersonated a number of characters on screen during her career as an actress.
One of her first television appearances was as Amelia Joffe on General Hospital in 2007.
A year later, the actress starred on the hit Fox show 24 during the show’s seventh and eighth seasons.
Wersching also played the main character’s love interest on the Amazon Prime series show Bosch.
Annie was also known as Lily Salvatore throughout the Vampire Diaries fandom.
Star Trek fans fondly remember her as the Borg Queen in Star Trek Picard.

Wersching was diagnosed with cancer in 2020 but chose to remain silent about the diagnosis and battled the disease for over two years.
Annie continued to star in prominent roles such as Star Trek: Picard and The Rookie.

Wersching is survived by her husband, actor and comedian Stephen Full, whom Annie married in 2009, and their three sons.
Who paid tribute to Annie Wersching?
Wersching’s husband Stephen led the tributes after the star’s death.
In a poignant statement confirming her death, he said:
He said: “There is a huge hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found miracles in the simplest of moments. She didn’t need music to dance to. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you,” he wrote.
“‘Go find it. It is everywhere.’ And we will find it.
“As I drove our boys, the true love of her life, down the winding driveway and road, she screamed BYE! until we were out of earshot and out into the world. I can still hear it ring. Bye my mate I love you little family…’”
Many of Annie’s entertainment peers have flocked to social media to pay tribute to her.
Fellow 24 star Kiefer Sutherland wrote: “The world lost a light today.
“(She) was one of the greatest actors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and my friend. My heart breaks for her young family. May she be remembered for the beautiful person she was.”
Actor Kevin Weisman, who appeared alongside Wersching in the television series Runaways, tweeted“My dear sweet friend Annie Wersching passed away this morning.
“Truly the most talented, funniest, most considerate actor, friend, human.
“Incredible mother of three cute boys. Please consider helping them in any way you can. All the best.”
Screenwriter and producer Aaron J. Waltke also wrote:
